27 Aug Patient-Vitals kiosk Integration
Premier Family Health (Premier) in Wellington, Florida has licensed the MD Link Integration Engine software from MDI Solutions to integrate its Lifestyle Checkpoint health and wellbeing kiosks.
Premier Family Health acquired the kiosks to provide a self-service (no-contact) way to collect patient vitals prior to scheduled treatment. Wanting to maximize the effectiveness of the vitals-capture kiosks, Premier determined that they would need a middleware platform to exchange data between the kiosks and their eClinicalWorks (eCW) EHR. The MD Link integration engine from MDI Solutions was chosen to manage the data flow between the two vendor systems; Scheduling information from eCW will be converted from HL7 to a QR code (by MD Link), which will be scanned by the patient at the kiosk to start their vitals collection, and the results generated by the kiosk will be converted from JSON back to HL7 for upload to the patient record in eCW. Along with managing the HL7 data integration, MD Link will be configured with automated alert notifications to detect any service disruptions.
