Net Health’s (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) tissue analytics for wound care granted ‘breakthrough device status’ by FDA.
Net Health, a provider of specialty electronic healthcare record (EHR) and predictive analytics software, announced this month that Tissue Analytics, the company’s AI-powered wound imaging and analysis software, has been granted Breakthrough Device Status by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Tissue Analytics received the rare designation because of its novel diagnostic algorithms. The Company believes the FDA designation represents the first time an EHR company has been granted such designation.
Net Health uses MDI Solutions’ MD Link integration engine software to support deployment of their wound care software (WoundExpert) at over 1500 facilities. Their web-based software is set up in an ASP environment, with MD Link providing bi-directional integration with their customer software systems.
